URLs are sacred
Every indexable URL on the old site gets a destination on the new one — a matching page or a deliberate redirect. This is generated and diffed, not eyeballed, so nothing slips through.
Test against reality before switching
The new site runs on a preview URL with production content while the old one is still live. We crawl both and compare. DNS only changes once the diff is clean.
A safety net for the first 48 hours
The old platform stays running after cutover. If something only shows up under real traffic, rolling back is a DNS change, not a rebuild.
